Another arrest has been made in the case of a man who suffered a suspected racist attack in Belfast.
The 36-year-old man, reported to be Nigerian and to have been on his way to work as a security guard, was attacked in the Sliabh Dubh area of west Belfast on Monday.
Police said on Tuesday night that a 19-year-old had been arrested.
Two men, 32 and 25, who had earlier been arrested, were later released pending further enquiries, police said yesterday.
Meanwhile the West Against Racism Network’s Sara Boyce said “We are shocked and angered that this racist attack happened on a man on his way to work.
“This community has recently taken part in city wide marches and rallies on two consecutive weekends demanding that racism be eradicated from our society. There can be no place nor acceptance of racism in our community”.
