Search for man in river
Emergency services were searching for a man in the River Lagan at Donegall Quay in Belfast on Friday evening. The Coastguard was called just after 5pm.
“One person entered the water and a second went in to assist,” a spokeswoman said.
“The second man was helped out of the water and the search is still ongoing for the initial casualty.”
