Suspected heroin trafficker charged

He also faces charges of possession of a class A controlled drug, and possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Friday morning.

The 38-year-old man, plus a 23-year-old man were arrested in the Holywood Road area of east Belfast Wednesday morning.

During the operation, a quantity of suspected heroin – estimated to be worth approximately £12,000 – was found and seized.

The 23-year-old was released on police bail pending further enquiries.
