Teenage girl sustains '˜serious injuries' in Antrim assault

A 14-year-old girl has sustained 'serious injuries to her head and face' during a weekend assault.

The girl was injured after she was attacked with a bottle during an altercation outside a house party.

The incident happened in Carnbeg Avenue in Antrim around midnight on Saturday (21 into 22 May).

Detectives investigating this incident are keen to hear from witnesses and would especially like to speak to anyone who was at the party but who has yet to speak to police. Antrim Reactive and Organised Crime can be contacted by calling 101.
