Women threatened with knife during Strabane shop robbery

Two female shop assistants were threatened by a man with a knife during a robbery in Strabane.

The man made off with a sum of money after the incident at a business premises on the Melmount Road shortly after 9.30pm.

The shop workers were not injured.

The male is described as being between 5’3” and 5”6 tall and believed to be in his early twenties.

He was wearing a dark coloured raincoat and black woollen gloves.

He made off on foot towards the Lisnafin Park area.
