Ben Lowry: Now there is some more time to think hard about legacy

Before and after the Panorama programme on Stakeknife, we have been told by commentators, politicians and others that the inquiry into the affair will be uncomfortable for the IRA.

You mean that was in doubt!? If the saga turned on the people who infiltrated the IRA rather than those who ordered murder, it would be the latest legacy madness.

Unionists now have a bit of time to think hard about mooted legacy structures and get them right before it is too late.
