Orange Order chiefs met with leaders of the Church of Ireland on Monday for an “informal conversation, to actively listen to one another’s views and to pray together for peace during the parading season and beyond”.
The meeting took place at Church of Ireland House in Belfast.
Among those present were Orange Grand Master Edward Stevenson and the church’s Bishop Harold Miller.
A spokesperson said discussion ranged from issues around parading, attacks on Orange halls, cross-community engagement, and faith and society.
It was agreed to meet again after the Twelfth.
