Peninsula concert success

THE harbour town Donaghadee held a band event last Saturday night, the venue being the Moat Street Orange Hall.

Organisers for the evening were Donaghadee Flutes and Drums Flute, with large numbers of local people attending to show their support. The event included performances from Ballyhalbert Flute, the melody flute band providing an entertaining selection of tunes, illustrating their continual improvement. Local band Harbour Star Accordion had a very youthful band on show, boding well for the future, and their set thoroughly entertained. The hosts rounded off the evening, with other bandspeople also invited to join in as a short set of traditional tunes ended the night in good form.
