Perfect Valentine’s on ‘Heart Island’

Heart shaped Island

Heart shaped Island

Is this the ultimate location for Valentine’s Day? Aerial photography has revealed for the first time an island in Scotland that is the perfect shape of a heart.

Inchmahome Island, once home to Mary Queen of Scots, in Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, is among VisitScotland’s most romantic places to visit in 2013, its Year of Natural Scotland.

Celebrating the country’s outstanding natural beauty, other romantic places to make the list in 2013 include the Cairngorms, amongst the most dramatic mountain landscapes in the world, and Loch Katrine in Stirling, the enchanting setting for the famous with secluded poem, The Lady of the Lake.
