Petrol bomb attack in south Belfast house

A petrol bomb has been thrown at the front door of a house in south Belfast.

The incident happened in Agra Street just after 9.20pm yesterday.

One man in the property at the time was not injured and minor scorch damage was caused to a window.

It is believed a brick was also thrown at the house, smashing a window.

Alliance MLA for the area, Anna Lo said there is “no justification for this attack”.

“We should be able to live in our own homes without the fear of this sort of incident,” she said.

“The people responsible have no regards for the wellbeing of other people. Somebody could have been seriously hurt or killed had this petrol bomb started a fire.

“I would urge anybody with any information about this attack to contact the Police.”
