An exhibition is to take place this weekend marking 40 years since the Peace People movement was formed.

The organisation had come into being following an incident in west Belfast in 1976 after a car driven by an IRA man careered into a mother and three children after the Army opened fire on it. The children died as a result.

The exhibition of photographs is set to be staged on Saturday and Sunday at the Peace House on the Lisburn Road, south Belfast.

Pictured here is Gerry Grehan, chairman of the Peace People, with his daughter Clare Grehan-Toland.
