Pipe bomb found after “loud bang”


Army bomb experts have discovered a pipe bomb after a loud bang was reported in Holywood, Co Down.

Police attended the report of a pipe bomb found close to residential premises at the Church Green in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 17 June.

A woman heard a loud bang outside her home just after 00:35am. Army bomb experts were tasked to the scene and took a pipe bomb away for further forensic examinations.

The PSNI reported that nobody was injured during the incident.
