PSNI helicopter rescue for Duke of Edinburgh expedition

Five teenagers were rescued from Agangarrive Mountain in Cushendall on Saturday [May 10] by the PSNI’s Air Support Unit.

The teenagers had been taking part in a Duke of Edinburgh expedition when they lost their way.

The group made contact with the PSNI at 7.06pm.

A PSNI spokesman said: “The police helicopter was immediately tasked and the boys were located safe and well at 7.40pm.

“They were airlifted from the mountain by helicopter.”
