Police are calling on anyone with information to come forward after a man was shot in north Belfast.
The man, aged 20, was shot in the left leg in the Havana Walk area of the Ardoyne before 1am today.
He was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police described it as a “punishment-style” shooting.
It comes mere days before the Twelfth, when tensions are running high ahead of a morning march past the Ardoyne, and then possibility of a stand-off with police when they plan to block the return march in the area during that evening.
