Loyalists involved in protests for two weeks said the loss of millions to Belfast City centre should make people see how seriously they view the decision to remove the Union Flag from the city hall.
Almost 30 more protests are planned for Monday in a bid to “bring this country to a standstill”.
The protests are set to go ahead on Monday evening despite a joint statement from the First and Deputy First Minister calling for the street demonstrations to stop.
Posting on a social networking site, one protestor said the disruption will continue until the Union Flag is reinstated at City Hall all year round.
“Estimated loss of £8m in shopping in the past two weeks. Maybe now they’re starting to see we are not going away. Stand united guys and keep all protests peaceful. We WILL get our flag back,” read the Facebook post.
Bangor, Kilkeel, Glengormley, Lisburn and Belfast are just some of the locations where protests are planned on Monday.
The aim of the protests, which will be peaceful according to the site, is said to be to bring Northern Ireland to a standstill.
