Two brothers who have pleaded guilty to terrorist charges linked to the discovery of a makeshift training camp and firing range in Co Tyrone yesterday had their bail revoked.

Terence Aiden Coney, 35, from Malabhui Road in Carrickmore, and his brother Gavin Joseph Coney, 36, from Gorticashel Road in Omagh, were freed last month to put their affairs in order before sentence is passed following a rearraignment hearing at Belfast Crown Court.

The pair appeared in court yesterday carrying holdalls and accompanied by a number of relatives.

Gavin Coney kissed his wife and hugged her in the public gallery before he was brought forward to the dock.

Belfast Recorder Judge David McFarland told the brothers: “I am now revoking your bail. Please take them down.’’

Although no details were revealed at yesterday’s hearing, it is the prosecution case that the terrorist training camp at Greencastle was in an advanced state of preparation for an attack by dissident republicans.

The brothers and two co-accused are due to be sentnced later this month.
