A woman and two men, one of whom was armed with a screwdriver, hijacked a car in Limavady on Friday night.

Police said the three males in the hijacked blue Renault Clio car were left badly shaken after the incident shortly after 10pm at the Vale Centre in Greysteel.

The three were ordered to get out of the car and the hijackers, who had arrived in a dark Golf, drove off in the Clio in the direction of the Culmore Road.

It is believed all three men had left their mobile phones in the Clio before it was taken.

The car was found burnt out in a car park at the Alder Road, Foyle shortly before 6am on Saturday.

Police have appealed for information.
