Concertgoers and police officers were injured when almost 4,000 people were involved in manic scenes at a country music event in Co Tyrone at the weekend.
Stars Derek Ryan and Nathan Carter headlined the second night of the three-day Jamboree in the Park event at the Ecclesville Centre in Fintona.
Footage from the event on Saturday night taken by a crowd member shows chaotic scenes as men and women are heard screaming and shouting and stewards shout ‘Get Back’ repeatedly as people rush towards an exit.
Police, who were there as part of traffic management plans, said they spoke to organisers when crows issues became a probelm and ensured more doors were opened for people to get in and out of the venue.
They confirmed a number of members of the public were injured and a spokesman said a number of police officers also received minor injuries.
He added: “PSNI will be working with Omagh District Council and other statutory agencies in relation to this matter.”
Organiser Andrew Short told the Ulster Herald that 3,700 people were there, with the bulk of the crowd arriving in a 45-minute period.
He said he would review safety arrangements at the venue, adding that the night ended up being “fabulous”.
Two men were arrested for disorderly behaviour and assault on police, and released pending further enquiries.
