DUP MEP Diane Dodds has called on Prime Minister David Cameron to take action to defend Christians living in Iraq.
She said: “Ten years ago there was something like 7,500 Christians living in Mosul, Iraq. Today that number stands at zero. There were more than 40 active Christian churches in the area. Today that number stands at zero.
“It is not enough for the Prime Minister to wring his hands about this: we need to see a co-ordinated international effort to save this persecuted minority.”
