Dunloy viable device may have been there for years

Police and Army Technical officers at the scene of a suspicious object on the Bridge Road Dunloy close to St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday afternoon.

 

Police in Ballymoney are attending a report of a suspicious object at the Bridge Road, Dunloy area.

The device was found in the roof of St Joseph’s Parish at Bridge Road during a security operation on Tuesday evening.

Army bomb squad officers carried out examinations and discovered it was a viable bomb.

It was later taken away for further forensic testing.
