Elections 2014: First TUV councillor in Belfast only joined party months ago

The 22-year-old first ever TUV councillor in Northern Ireland’s capital only joined the party in recent months.

Cllr Jolene Bunting told the News Letter that she was pleasantly surprised to be elected in the Court area of north west Belfast.

The 22-year-old said that she believed that voters had supported her because of their frustration at the “lazy politics” of others.
