A four-month prison term has been handed to a poultry processor for nine breaches of food hygiene rules.

Nigel Wilson was also fined £8,000 for the breaches at his former poultry processing business, Upper Erne Lakes Poultry in Newtownbutler. He is to appeal his jail sentence.

According to the Food Standards Agency, the image above shows an “animal by-product bin area”, which was a “source of attraction for pests such as vermin”.
