Firefighters tackle huge blaze at warehouse in Ballymena

Police and the fire service were called out to a huge fire in commercial premises in the Clonavon Road area of Ballymena on Tuesday evening.

The Clonavon Road was closed between North Street and Waveney Road and a number of homes in the area were evacuated due to the blaze.

Police asked homeowners and businesses in the Ballymena area to close their doors and windows due to the possibility of harmful fumes from the fire.

There were no reports of any injuries.
