The funeral of motorcyclist Alan Kelso, who died after a road collision in Crumlin on Monday, will take place at All Saints Church in Antrim on Friday.
Mr Kelso, 37, worked at Antrim Borough Council’s civic amenity site in Crumlin and was well-known in the area.
Police have appealed for anyone who saw Mr Kelso’s silver Honda bike on the Dungonnell Road prior to the accident to contact them. No other vehicles are thought to have been involved.
SDLP councillor Thomas Burns knew the victim well and said the community was “stunned” by the tragedy.
Cllr Burns said several floral tributes have been left at the Crumlin amenity site.
“We asked the family’s permission to put a photograph of Alan up at the site and people were coming to leave flowers there.
“Everyone is gutted about poor Alan being killed,” he said.
