Police in the Irish Republic are continuing to question a man in his 50s after a suspected bomb was discovered in a hotel car park.
The viable device was located in a car at the Finnstown Country House Hotel in Lucan, Co Dublin on Saturday around 9pm.
Gardaí from Lucan and Ronanstown attended the scene and the hotel was evacuated while army experts examined the scene.
Reports suggest the device was not primed and is not yet clear if it was in transit or if the hotel was the target.
It was made safe and the hotel reopened after several hours. The man was arrested on Sunday and is being questioned under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. He can be questioned for up to 72 hours.
