Glenavy assault: Four youths released on bail

Four 17-year-old males arrested in connection with an assault in Glenavy early on Friday have all been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Three of the males were arrested on Sunday morning and released in the afternoon, and the fourth was arrested and released on Sunday afternoon.

It was reported that sometime between midnight and 1am an 18-year-old male had been assaulted by a number of other males outside a house in the Killultagh Park area. The male suffered a fractured jaw, fractured eye socket and a number of cuts and bruises.

The males were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Police at Lisburn are appealing for information on the non-emergency number 101

Three of the males were arrested yesterday morning and released in the afternoon, and the fourth was arrested and released yesterday afternoon.

An 18-year-old male suffered a fractured jaw, fractured eye socket and cuts and bruises during the attack in the Killultagh Park area. The males were arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent.
