Waiting for Video...

Two kayakers were left stranded when their crafts capsized yesterday along the north coast.

Belfast Coastguard received a 999 call from the National Trust Warden at Carrick-a-Rede reporting that two kayakers had been left stranded

at the base of cliffs on the Carrick-a-rede Island.

Ballycastle and Coleraine Coastguard rescue teams attended the scene and brought those stranded back to the top of the cliff.

Meanwhile Portrush All Weather RNLI lifeboat assisted two further kayakers who were struggling in the heavy swell.
