Detectives have called for witnesses to come forward after an incident in the Templemore Avenue area of east Belfast in the early hours of Sunday.
A report was received at around 3.10am that two people had been stabbed.
On arrival, a 19-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman with injuries were spoken to by officers.
The injuries are thought to have been caused by a broken bottle and both were taken to hospital for treatment.
Detectives appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident, or was in the area at the time and may have information, to contact CID in Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101.
