Traffic diversions will be in place in Belfast city centre this afternoon, Sunday, due to the Internment parade and an associated loyalist protest.
The following areas will be closed to traffic between 1pm and 2.30pm: High Street, Royal Avenue, North Street, Millfield, Carrick Hill, Donegall Street, Castle Street and Frederick Street.
Arterial routes will remain open and alternative routes will be made available, police said.
The Westlink and Dunbar Link will remain open and diversions will be in place.
The PSNI said there will be a large policing operation in the city centre and along the parade route “to ensure the safety of all of those participating in the parade and in the associated protests”.
