The M1 motorway has been re-opened after a controlled explosion was carried out on two suspicious devices - which were later declared an elaborate hoax.
The alert began after a suspicious object was found at Kennedy Way this morning.
At 2.50pm a PSNI spokesman said the security alert has now ended.
“ATO examined two suspicious objects discovered in the area and following a number of controlled explosions have declared them an elaborate hoax,” he said.
“All roads in the area have no reopened to traffic.”
According to the BBC, the disruption has led to delays to some of Saturday’s Danske Bank Premiership games.
The Linfield v Dungannon game at Windsor Park will now start at 3:45pm.
The Crusaders v Ards match has been put back until 3.15pm.
