A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in the head while answering her front door in Co Tyrone.
The victim, in her 20s, remains critically ill in hospital after she was attacked at Cappagh Villas near Omagh in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The suspect, 30, is being quizzed by detectives.
It is believed the woman was holding a house-warming party having moved into the area last week.
Another man was found on the road with injuries to his head, face and body. He had been assaulted but not stabbed.
Police appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
