A 27 year-old man arrested by police investigating the bomb attack near Victoria Square shopping centre late last year has been released unconditionally.

A bomb was placed in a taxi driver’s car and he was ordered to take it to Victoria Street on November 24.

The driver abandoned the car near the entrance to the centre’s underground car park and fled to a nearby police station.

The bomb later partially exploded but no-one was injured.
