A man was assaulted by masked men who forced their way in a house in Dunmurry on Friday night.
The gang threatened all six occupants - three men and three women - of the house in Mount Eagles Walk at around 11.45pm.
They took a sum of cash and made off in the homeowner’s Vauxhall Insignia car.
The assaulted man was taken to hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
One of the burglars is described as being approximately 6’1” tall, of heavy build wearing a blue coloured fleece and grey coloured track bottoms. The second male is described as being 5’6” tall, of medium build wearing a navy fleece and navy track bottoms, while the third male is described as being 5’8” tall, of stocky build and wearing a black coloured coat.
At around the same time in Lisburn a separate burglary occurred at a house in Mourne View Park.
A number of men carrying golf clubs forced their way into a flat which was unoccupied at the time.
Police said the men ransacked the property, smashing windows, a television and a toilet.
