A man aged in his 40s has died following a road traffic collision on the Gilford Road in Portadown during the early hours of this morning.
The road victim had got out of a taxi a short time before he was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Passat car shortly before 2am.
He is the 21st person to die on Ulster’s roads this year.
The Gilford Road between the Breagh Road and the Moyallen Road roundabout had been closed, but has since reopened.
Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who was travelling on the Gilford Road around the time of the collision to contact them at the Collision Investigation Unit in Steeple Police Station or local police at Mahon Road Police Station on the new non-emergency number 101.
