Man robbed in Portstewart

A man has been left ‘badly shaken’ after being robbed in the Portmore Road area of Portstewart in the early hours od this morning [August 24].

The incident happened at 12.15am when the man was grabbed from behind as he was walking along the street and knocked to the ground. His mobile phone was stolen and his glasses were damaged.

The victim did not receive any injuries as a result of the robbery.

Detectives would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them at Coleraine on 0845 600 8000.
