A 27-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being stabbed in the neck during an assault in east Belfast.
The incident happened at the Euston Parade, Ballymacarret area on New Years night shortly after 10.15pm.
A PSNI spokesman said “it was reported that a 27-year-old man was assaulted at the junction of Castlereagh Road and Euston Parade by an unknown male”.
“The man was treated for a stab wound to his neck and was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries,” he added. “His condition is described as serious, but stable.”
