A payment of £1,000 has been made available to householders affected by recent flooding in Ballymena.

The Environment Minister has announced that he has made the package available to those in the Toome Road and Galgorm Road areas of the town.

Mark H Durkan said: “If you feel that you may be entitled to the payment, contact Ballymena Borough Council as soon as possible and they will arrange for an urgent inspection of your property.”

Eligible householders should receive their cash within days.
