News Letter hosts fourth Festival of Marching Bands

The News Letter, along with Translink and the Ulster Scots Agency, hosted its fourth Festival of Marching Bands at the Ulster Hall on Thursday evening.

Among the bands which took part include Pride of the Orange and Blue Flute, Newbuildings; Cloughmills Crown Defenders Flute, Antrim; Ballycraigy Auld Boys Flute, Antrim; Derryloran Boyne Defenders Flute, Cookstown; Pride of the Orange and Blue Flute, Londonderry; Whitewater Pipe, Newtownhamilton; Newtownards Melody Flute; Drum Accordion, Monaghan; and Pride of the Raven Flute East Belfast.

News Letter bands correspondent Quincey Dougan said interest in the event from across the Province is phenomenal.

*Photographs and video footage of the concert will be available on the News Letter website on Friday and an eight page picture supplement from the event will be published in Monday’s News Letter.
