One dead, more injured in two crashes: Ards and Fermanagh

Two serious crashes unfolded last night on the Province’s roads – one of them fatal.

At around 8.30pm emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash on Portaferry Road outside Newtownards.

One person died as a result of the crash, and two males were taken to the Ulster Hospital, one of whom was later discharged.

Half an hour before that there was a one-vehicle crash in Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh, with one female taken to South West Acute Hospital with serious injuries.
