Well over a quarter-of-a-million Garth Brooks ticketholders have now had their refunds processed.
Ticketmaster said the number yesterday stood at close to 255,000.
In all, 400,000 tickets were sold for the star’s five planned Croke Park shows.
The company issued a statement which also warned that, in order to obtain a refund as quickly as possible via post, ticketholders must be careful to provide all the relevant details.
When it comes to postal refunds, it said: “These applications are being processed immediately on receipt. However, we have noticed a number of forms with incomplete bank details which slows the process. Ticketmaster would urge customers to provide us with their complete bank details so we can deal with their refund as quickly as possible.”
Mr Brooks was booked to play from this Friday through to Tuesday at the venue, despite concerns from residents about the disruption this would bring.
Dublin council then barred two of the gigs, prompting a crisis which saw Mr Brooks state that he would either play five gigs or none at all.
