THE Northern Ireland ploughing championships are being held in Co Londonderry.

The two day event takes place in Drumahoe. Over 100 acres of farmland have been transformed into competition plots for the ploughing as well as, trade stands which will encompass many sectors of agricultural and rural living.

Tractor Pulling will make a welcome return to the ploughing with the NI Tractor Pulling Championships forming a key attraction of the event.

The Young Farmers Clubs of Ulster will hold their annual fencing competition and soil assessment with local club City of Derry arranging a digger driving competition.

Both Fiddler Adam & Hugo Duncan will be at the ploughing to provide the live entertainment for all who attend to enjoy.
