Police probe link between filling station robberies

Police are investigating a link between two robberies in which staff at filling stations were threatened with a knife, an iron bar and an extendable baton.

Two men threatened staff and stole cash from a shop on the Crumlin Road at around 6.45pm on Friday.

They ran off in the direction of Cliftonpark Avenue. One was wearing a yellow coloured hooded top and grey track bottoms.

The second male was wearing a black coloured jacket and blue coloured track bottoms.

Just before 10pm a male threatened staff at a shop in the Shankill Road and stole cash.

He made off towards Crosby Street where another male was waiting for him.

In the second incident the male is described as being approximately 5’10” tall, aged in his late teens or early 20’s. He was wearing a white and grey hooded top and blue coloured track bottoms.
