A post-mortem examination is to be carried out on a three-month-old baby girl who died after her father was charged with causing her grievous bodily harm.

Caragh Walsh, of Glasvey Drive in Twinbrook in West Belfast, was brought to the city’s Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday night and remained in a critical condition. On Friday night police announced her death.

Christopher O’Neill, her 23-year-old father, appeared before a judge in Craigavon Magistrates’ Court in Co Armagh yesterday.
