Probe into Lisnaskea police station attack

Police are continuing to investigate reports that shots were fired at a Co Fermanagh PSNI station on Monday night.

No one was injured and it is not yet clear if any bullets struck the Lisnaskea base.

Following unionist condemnation of those behind the incident, the Republic’s foreign minister Eamon Gilmore said it was a “deplorable attack by terrorists”. Sinn Fein MLA Sean Lynch said the gunmen will “achieve nothing”. Mr Lynch said he was thankful no one was hurt and added: “They are opponents of change – change which will continue to happen regardless of their actions.”
