A second fatal road accident has taken place today only a short time after the name of a previous victim was announced.
Phelim Alexander Brady was this afternoon identified as the victim of a crash on the Killybracken Road, to the south-west of Dungannon.
It involved a lorry and a tractor, and saw the dual carriageway onto which the road leads shut down.
The lorry driver was arrested.
Police announced 69-year-old’s name at 4pm, and soon afterwards it emerged there had been another death in a separate crash.
The later accident took place at Killard Road, Downpatrick, at around 4.20pm.
The victim of the three-car-crash was in his 70s.
It comes after a series of less serious accidents today, and following the death of a woman after her car plunged into the Newry canal on Tuesday.
A man also died on Tuesday near Pomeroy after being struck by a tractor.
