Serious road crashes

THERE has been a serious road traffic crash in Omagh, Co Tyrone.

One car was involved in the incident on the main Omagh to Newtownstewart Road, which happened just after 1pm today.

Is it not known how many people were in the vehicle.

The road has been closed between Gortnagarn Road turnoff and Beltany Road into Newtownstewart, with diversions in place.

There are no further details at the moment.

Meanwhile the Castlewellan Road at Ballyward, Banbridge is closed in both directions at its junction with Station Road and Cargarry Road due to another crash.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
