Sinn Fein today added its voice to those calling for a halt on attacks against a memorial for a trio of soldiers.

It was reported this week the monument for the IRA victims in White Brae, Ligoniel, had been struck for a 14th time.

The Royal British Legion demanded that republican leaders in the area should now act to prevent the incidents.

Sinn Fein north Belfast councillor Gerry McCabe said: “There is no room for this type of vandalism and these attacks must stop”.
