Stab victim taken to hospital

A 29-year-old man was stabbed and taken to hospital after an assault in the Abbeyville Park area of Newtownabbey.

Police say the attack happened in Thursday evening. A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.

“Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact Newtownabbey Police Station on 0845 600 8000,” a PSNI spokesman said.
