Teenager thought to be in Ireland

Police in Yorkshire believe a Romanian girl may have been abducted and brought to Ireland, according to the force.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of the teenager, 15, who was last seen on Wednesday at her family address in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

Netradica Anghel, known as Neta, was last with her family at approximately 10am.

According to a statement from South Yorkshire police circulated by their Irish counterparts, the teenager is understood to be in the company of a 29-year-old male, Pitulan Angel and they are believed to be travelling in his silver E-class Mercedes.

Police said: “Inquiries have led officers to believe they are in southern Ireland after the car was seen boarding a ferry at Cairn Ryan port in Scotland.

“Neta is originally from Romania and speaks both English and Roma.

“She has dark brown hair and brown eyes. Pitulan is also from Romania and speaks the same languages.

“He is about 5ft 4ins tall with dark hair and dark eyes.

“Officers are keen locate them to ensure she is safe and well.”

Anyone who has seen her is urged to contact police.
