Teens attacked by men in sectarian assault in Antrim

Two teenage boys were punched and kicked by two men in what is being described as a sectarian assault in Antrim town on Easter Monday.

Police received a report of an assault in High Street at around 6pm.

It is understood one oft he victims was wearing a Celtic football top at the time of the attack.

One of the men responsible was described as being in his early 30’s, around 5’10” tall with dirty fair hair and was wearing a red checked shirt.

The second man was described as being in his 40’s with dirty fair hair, a moustache and was wearing a grey t-shirt. The two youths suffered cuts and bruising following the assault.

Police said they are treating the incident as sectarian.
